Description: Black sesame seeds are small, flat, oily seeds which grow in the fruit pods of the Sesamum indicum plant. Black sesame seeds are primarily produced in India, although they are gaining popularity in other parts of the world as well.

Black sesame oil is known for its rich nutty flavour. It is slightly bitter and richer in calcium than white sesame oil due to the presence of hulls.


Common Uses:


Facial Moisturiser: The presence of essential fatty acids in Sesame oil like Oleic acid, Palmitic acid, Stearic acid and Linoleic acid ensures that the skin is effectively moisturised and helps to keep skin supple, soft and hydrated. Presence of Vitamins like Vitamin E, B and D ensure plump, healthy looking skin.


Acne Protection: Sesame oil has low rating on the comedogenic scale which means that it may work well on acne prone skin. Anti bacterial properties fight pimples, infection and rashes and makes it effective in healing dryness and redness.


Anti-Aging: Black Sesame oil helps in rejuvenating skin, removing dead skin cells and reducing the appearance of ageing signs like wrinkle and fine lines. It contains an antioxidant called sesamol which effectively prevents the appearances of wrinkles and fine lines
