DIY Recipes Of Essential Oils For Cleaning Floors:


Recipe 1: Oil Mix For Floor Cleanup


  • 3 tbsp of lemon essential oil,
  • 10 drops of pine essential oil,
  • 5 drops of eucalyptus essential oil, and
  • 5 drops of lavender essential oil.


  • Distilled white vinegar and water can be used to make a floor-cleaning solution.
  • You can use a spray bottle.
  • Fill it with vinegar and water, 30% of each.
  • Add the essential oil in the sprayer, let it mix for a few minutes then add it wherever you want to use it. (eg. kitchen floor etc.)

Recipe 2: For Furniture Cleanup


  • 3 tbsp of distilled white vinegar,
  • 4 cups of warm water, and
  • 1-2 drops of lemon essential oil (if you prefer).


  • Mop the floor with warm water and drain out the excess water with a mop or fluffy cloth.
  • Add the lemon essential oil to the mop and start to mop.
  • Keep repeating until the floor is cleaned.

Recipe 3: For Cleaning The Bathroom Floor


  • 1 cup of distilled white vinegar,
  • 2 cups of hot water,
  • 5 drops of lavender essential oil, and
  • 1 tbsp liquid castile soap.


  • Mix all ingredients and pour them into a spray bottle.
  • Spray it on your dirty floor and allow it to sit for a few minutes then mop or wipe clean with a cloth or sponge.
  • If you do not want to use liquid castile soap you can omit this ingredient from the above recipe and mix warm water instead.
