Cassia Essential Oil is extracted from the bark of Cinnamomum Cassia, through Steam Distillation. It belongs to the family of Lauraceae, and also known as Chinese Cinnamon. It is native to Southern China, and wildly cultivated there, along with India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and other parts of Southeast Asia. It is somewhat similar to cinnamon, but has a thicker bark and a milder fragrance. Cassia is commonly used as a spice and a mix of herbal teas.
